Wildflowers of Patagonia

Patagonia is the land at the Southern tip of Latin America shared by Argentina and Chile. Patagonia touches both the coast of the Atlantic Ocean as well as the Pacific.
It is sparsely populated and retains a lot of its wild and undeveloped nature, comprised of the Southern section of the Andes, deserts, steppes and grasslands.

The flowers are mostly small and delicate.

 Lupins

 Eatable berries

This sub-Antarctic ecosystem is rugged and yet fragile. The delicate shrubs and flowers are protected within the forests of ArgentineanTierra del Fuego and the islands and fjords of Chilean Patagonia.
I feel privileged to have been able to walk these paths and experience the beauty of this pristine place.

Enjoy!

Maria
